The Sphinx is a mythological creature, half lion, half woman. She puts riddles to us, and woe to us if we can not answer them. But what about these Sphinx? No mouth, no voice... there are only silent riddles. How do we know what is the question?
Oil painting on canvas board, 30 x 24 cm, 2015. The original painting is not available, I painted it for my son.
About Attila Meszlenyi
I was born in 1954 in Budapest, Hungary, where I still líve. I learned at 'Kepzo- es Iparmuveszeti Szakkozepiskola', Budapest, and I graduated specializing in graphic design. I work as a professional painter and graphic artist. Although I do not like to exhibit, I have had many exhibitions in my country and abroad. I am interested in everything that is related to painting: many different styles, techniques and I like to try them all. Three of my books about art are published now.
